Eclipse maven updating indexes takes forever

But this feels wrong; that makes the indices significantly less useful.

So either we are doing something wrong regarding descriptions, or the indexes nexus provides just suck.

Create a ram disk(virtual disk) on memory, and put your jdk on the ram disk. later ,if you would like to remove the ram disk, just run the command: imdisk -D -m n: 5.@Mensch Nestor I just merged a simplified version of the code from your "maven-index-search" project; thanks for doing the initial investigation on that.I stripped out progress reporting in the interests of just getting it working for now.It does seem some search code is included, see for example the Default Search class.M2Eclipse indeed uses maven-indexer for its search.
