Error validating image files
If the passed argument is a file but not an image it returns false, that will allow you to validate.
Edit: The only reliable method of image validation is to make a copy of it using GD or Imagick - getimagesize can be easily hacked. For example: Please note that it does check if it's an image, but that doesn't mean it isn't an image that has been tempered with, see: php.webtutor.pl/en/2011/05/13/…
I'm going to check also on how to solve the first matter with symfony returning a null and see how this can be dealt with in laravel. My final problem is here displaying the error messages.
null] as a value of an empty file input that allows multiple files, this causes the validator to fail the check of a valid file even though no files exist, but internally it thinks theres a file with value null on another note, if the input is required, laravel will make this input = null if it doesn't have a value "anything that ! I dont want to declare my validation in my controller just because there is so much going on.
To learn about Laravel's powerful validation features, let's look at a complete example of validating a form and displaying the error messages back to the user.
In the case of a traditional HTTP request, a redirect response will be generated, while a JSON response will be sent for AJAX requests. Again, if the validation fails, the proper response will automatically be generated.
Therefore, you may feed it any kind of file (text, archive, mp3, whatever) with an extension of an image (png, jpg, etc.) and if you have included the Mini Magick module, it will try to perform processing operations on this file, ending up blowing like you stated above.
trait which provides a convenient method to validate incoming HTTP request with a variety of powerful validation rules.
Do you think it could work if i dynamically add a single file input field for each upload using js and then validate each one individually ?
Is that possible as for why u r always getting the error for the upload even when its not required , maybe u can try with a single file and see if u r still getting the same or is it only related to the multi file, showing us the whole form code would be better.
