Gal exchange 2016 not updating
This article shows how to manually update the Global Address List (GAL) in Outlook (version 2010 and above).
The Global Address List is a directory of contact information that is stored in a central place called the Exchange Server.
When connected to an Exchange server, Outlook will automatically synchronize the address book once every 24 hours.
However, if you need to the address book to update sooner you will need to force an update by manually starting the synchronization process.
Working with like minded colleagues now specializing in very large scale complex migrations from Lotus Notes and On-Premise Microsoft Exchange to Office 365.I didn't create the server and this is kind of my first exposure to the settings and all that.I created a new OAB with both distribution methods this morning. You can see the list of attributes that will be put into the GAL using When Outlook users are running in cached mode, they rely on the Offline Address Book (OAB) to provide them with access to one or more addresses (that are always available when they are connected directly to Exchange) The OAB is rebuilt and downloaded on a default schedule as shown below.Because of this, a new user may not be visible in the address book, or changes to a user’s name, address, etc.
