Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from high school or its equivalent.
Responsible for conducting drug/alcohol screens utilizing various sanctioned testing methodologies, collecting and disposing of urine specimens, maintaining accountability for specimen identification, communicating on a regular basis with probation staff and documenting results of drug/alcohol testing for case files, testifying in court regarding positive drug/alcohol screens, and collecting statistics pertaining to drug/alcohol screens for submission to the Administrative Office of Probation. REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from high school or its equivalent and successfully complete required training associated with drug/alcohol screening methodologies PREFERRED: Prior experience working with client populations helpful as is substance abuse or chemical testing training. The State of Nebraska complies with Nebraska’s Veterans Preference Laws.
“With rules that require a minimum of 40 hours of continuing education for the 721 judges in Ohio every two years and 24 hours for the 798 magistrates, there’s a lot of training delivered in the state,” said Judicial College Director W. “We take great pride in the fact that 62 percent of the total continuing education Ohio judges reported in 2007 came through the Judicial College.
