Updating modded psp
The Play Station Portable system software is the official firmware for the Play Station Portable.
It uses the Xross Media Bar (XMB) as its user interface, similar to the Play Station 3 console.
If you wish to ask a question or provide input, feel free to leave a post at: PSP Discussion Forum.
The current version of the software, 6.61, was made available on January 15, 2015.
I can't find any help with Google on how to install custom firmware on a PSP 3001 with v4.21 firmware.
I'd prefer to do it without the Pandora battery, but if that's the only way then can you please describe how to do it in a way that's safe for this version?
720x480p (NTSC) and 720x576p (PAL) progressive TV Output (via the Video Out jack at the bottom left of the Slim PSP) is supported for games and apps by putting a frame around the 480x272 screen. Homebrew games and apps can also be programmed to take advantage of the whole screen. It added a built-in microphone and better LCD display for displaying a wider gamut.
It also added support for interlaced TV output (in addition to progressive). It added 16GB internal flash and bluetooth support, but removed the UMD drive.
